Waiting At Home is currently in development and not yet open for public registration. These policies describe the terms and data practices that will apply once the service officially launches.

Pet-related information (such as pet details and care notes) may be stored to support alert coordination.

We use the information we collect to:

Provide and operate the Waiting At Home service
Send transactional SMS messages (invitations, alerts, confirmations, cancellations)
Maintain message history for auditability and troubleshooting
Prevent fraud, abuse, or unauthorized use
Improve reliability and performance

We do not use your phone number for marketing messages.

3. SMS and Communications

By registering as a Pet Parent or opting in as a Sparent, you consent to receive transactional SMS messages related to invitations and alerts. Message frequency varies based on alert activity. Message and data rates may apply.

You may opt out at any time by replying STOP (or REMOVE where applicable). Reply HELP for assistance.

4. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information.

We may share limited information with service providers strictly to operate the system, including:

SMS delivery providers (e.g., Twilio) to send and receive text messages
Hosting and infrastructure providers to run the website and backend services

These providers process data on our behalf and are not authorized to use it for their own marketing purposes.

5. Data Retention

We retain information only as long as needed to operate the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Message logs may be retained for audit and troubleshooting.

6. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information. However, no system can be guaranteed 100% secure.

7. Your Choices

You may opt out of SMS messaging by replying STOP.
You may request deletion of your account information by contacting us.

8. Children’s Privacy

Waiting At Home is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the Effective Date above.
