Waiting At Home™ – SMS Consent Process

Effective Date: 14 February 2026

Overview

Waiting At Home provides transactional SMS notifications related to PetCheck™ notifications and system activity. Participation in SMS messaging requires explicit consent. Waiting At Home does not send marketing messages.

How Pet Parents Consent to SMS Messaging

No SMS messages are sent to a Pet Parent unless consent has been provided.

How Tenders Provide Consent

A Tender (Surrogate Pet Parent) is invited by a Pet Parent. The Tender receives a one-time SMS invitation from Waiting At Home explaining why they are being contacted and requesting consent to participate.

To participate, the Tender must explicitly reply with the acceptance keyword (e.g., YES). No PetCheck notifications will be sent to a Tender unless they have first provided explicit SMS consent.

If the Tender does not respond, no further PetCheck notifications are sent.

Types of Messages Sent

Message frequency varies depending on user activity. Message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier plan.

Opt-Out & Help Instructions

After opting out, a final confirmation message will be sent. No further SMS messages will be delivered unless the user re-registers.
